gun regulation to me is a very tricky subject, on one hand you can argue that bans only keep guns out of law abiding citizens hands and we need guns when our government turns against us so we can resist. On the other protecting children is important
so we're just going to keep pretending that there isn't historical data proving that gun bans at least slightly work?? gun massacres of 6 or more decreased by 37% following 1994 fed assault weapons ban, but went up 183% during the years after expiration.

Personally I lean towards having much stronger background checks and requiring registering all firearms the same way you would with a car🙂‍↕️ I dont trust our government for shit and when they start shooting us first I refuse to be defenseless

So do you have any constructive input on this, or are you just some ragebaiting loser?

So the government knowing you own a rifle is not the same thing as the government controlling what rifle you own🗣️ obviously no form of gun reform will ever be perfect and I dont trust our government all that much, but the current status quo isn’t working at all and its time to try new things

Correct and what of it? You think you have any sense of privacy in this world? Registering or not the government already knows you OWN the gun. Since the dawn of the internet you’ve never had a single shred of privacy unless you’ve gone completely off grid

See my above comment^ once again the government and the concept of privacy being put together makes no sense whatsoever. Also there is legislation that can be passed alongside making registration a requirement that could at least hinder what you’re describing here

Reasonably speaking here, they know exactly what gun you own, they know exactly how much ammo you own, they know almost every little detail of your life and know your habits better than you do. They also absolutely know if you sold a gun, the ONLY case point you could make here was if you lost a firearm, and even then if you ever bring it up in speech chances are your phone or a smart product like alexa or google home hears that and there you go, no more privacy

And they know exactly where you are regardless of what address’s you have registered. I cannot stress enough as someone who’s heavily invested in tech just how little privacy you really have. The second you bought a smartphone regardless of whether it was Samsung or Apple, you have had NO privacy. Every little private detail of your life is available for the right price. It is fucking TERRIFYING to say that but its true, and the governments pockets aren’t hurting any time soon

I feel like you’re missing the core of the argument here, assuming you buy the bleach they would just track your purchase and tie that to you in trial. You’re trying to outsmart the government with conventional methods. These are some of the top dogs and have the smartest people you can imagine on their payrolls. You really think they dont have ways to identify if it was your gun or not?

No it isn’t grounds to arrest you, but that’s not what I’m arguing here. I’m pointing out that you don’t have privacy in this world anymore, nobody does
