Ngl I get Biden nostalgia all the time these days, I clearly was not thankful for what I had during his administrationmushy.the.mushroom
Listen I hate Biden, and yall know I’ve been on an anti liberal kick especially hard lately, but it’s worth saying Biden actually did stop an aspect of the forever wars. And trump started another. So.Biden was an incredible president at getting things done. Unfortunately, our time dictated that healing from Trump was most important, and Merrick Garland was terrible at prosecuting the crimes Trump committed in our faces on live TV. RIP Biden, you would’ve been a top 10 President in any other era.
Biden definitely was good at getting things done. He just, for the most part, didn’t really want good things for us. Some things he wanted. He wanted good labor rights, out of Afghanistan, all of this he was good on. But everything else was ultimately in service of the same powers that put trump into office
I’d call his labor rights and appointment of Khan to the FTC his greatest accomplishment. Consumer protections from the FTC and DOT were great. He tried a lot with student loans even if the Supreme Court didn’t want us to have it. He rallied support for and signed the Inflation Reduction Act, lowering prescription costs, creating tax credits for green energy, and in general doing a lot for the climate. He pushed through and signed the CHIPS and Science Act, and the Infrastructure bill, which…
It wasn’t. The incompetence is a simulacrum that conservative media fed you, and tankies cultivated at their behest. The very idea that another Biden would eventually lead to Trump is in and of itself the very problem. It’s antithetical to reality and plays on the defeatism that anti liberals need to achieve the bloodshed in the streets that they want.
