The free market is like highly radioactive material. It can be quite useful when kept tightly contained and used for the good of everyone, but if it isn’t properly constrained, it kills everyone and ends the world.
The free market & the regulation thereof isn’t the problem, it’s when the whole system (the government for a large part) encourages the soulless and discourages the moral.

Believing that capitalism can be anything different is fundamentally (but understandably) naive, and it is the central error of the Rerum Novarum/Justinian’s position on this matter.
