Hey so I actually do know the history, and I’ve read several academic articles and historical recounts. What you don’t seem to understand is that we can view Israel as the holy land but not something that we should colonize and call our own. Israel also isn’t just a state, it has long since been what the Jewish people are called as a people. There are three different types of Israel, spiritual which is the holy land, the people, and the political state. The conflation is exactly what Israel want

Judaism as an ethnicity was made by oppressors to keep track of Jews. It’s hard to persecute a religion but it’s easier when made an ethnicity. Ever wonder why Judaism can be counted as either or and not Christianity or Islam?

if you believe the ethnicity of Jewish was created by oppressors to track those who believe in Judaism, and believe that Zionism is a core belief of Judaism; you’re essentially saying that you do believe that all Jewish people believe in Zionism by dismissal of the ethnicity and by stating that Zionism is fundamental to Judaism. you’re wrong, regardless, but it’s just weird to act like you aren’t mask off already

I never said I don’t believe in the ethnicity, I said it was created by oppressors to keep track of Jews. I fully respect any Jew that states they are ethnically Jewish. It’s been around for a long time, especially in the diaspora, and they actively choose to maintain Jewish identity why should I dismiss it? And I’m not wrong, it was used to track them. Read about why Stalin categorized us as an ethnicity. We called ourselves Ivrim, the world called us Jews

I was saying that you are wrong on the topic of Zionism being fundamental to (well, a “core belief” of) Judaism. Zionism is a specific term describing the nationalist movement which emerged in the 19th century. I apologize for any misunderstanding in my earlier comment Zionism may have branched from core beliefs of Judaism, but that does not mean it is synonymous with them if that makes sense
