Hot take: i feel like a lot of dems have enhanced these problems by leaning into them and saying things like “yeah i do hate the police” or “yeah I do want to kill babies” I feel like a very loud minority makes liberals look awful and nobody corrects it
Was knocking doors yesterday and talked to this guy about my age, he said was voting Republican because he “can’t get behind the extreme shit the Democrats push”, I asked for examples and it was literally this. They don’t research. Just watch Fox News.

Liberals are awful because they try to operate in a broken system. Ultimately a liberal like a conservative wishes to protect the current system we live in even when that system has been proven corrupt. That’s why you see people like Hakeem Jeffries and Joe Biden defending Israel.

I/p has broken people’s brains. The truth you guys want Israel to not exist and that’s not anywhere near where the average American is at or was at. Biden was responding pretty well to both what the American public wanted and what was needed in a humanitarian sense. The system was working as designed under the Biden admin you guys just need to cope you don’t represent the average American.

No I just don’t want children to be bombed. The system was not running fine under Biden. We sent supplies to Israel even after they murdered over 200 Palestinian citizens with 40+ of them being children. Yeah you’re right the system was working as intended. Making rich people richer and poor people poorer while having corporate interest at the forefront. Glad we agree on one of those points.

What was the cooperate forefront that wanted an expansion of the irs? Your theory doesn’t have any relation to what actually happened.

Quite literally the wage gap between top 1% and the bottom 99% continues to grow. Granted it narrowed slightly under Biden but by an insignificant amount. Regardless of liberal or conservative in office, none of them actually go after these top earners because again they are paid to protect systems that benefit this top percent. Again this is why you see liberal leaders with Israel and even taking thousands or even hundreds of thousands of money from entities like AIPAC even through genocides

Also you are wrong. Most Americans did not support Biden’s response to Israel. Again Biden backed Israel even when they’ve been the aggressors for decades before Biden even entered office.

Idk this just gonna be impossible to move you bc I’ll mention some positive movement under liberals and you’ll dismiss it bc it didn’t end billionaires or something. The U.S. is a successful country you’re not gonna see radical change .

I’m not saying there arent good things under liberals. There are same as there are good things under conservatives. What I’m saying is ultimately positive change won’t come from liberals because they work within and try to protect a system that is meant to benefit those with the most money. Full Capitalism does not help the commoner and we can see this throughout US history and even today.

We don’t have “full capitalism” and i’ve already stated how biden didn’t promote that.

But the system he operates in does. Capitalism benefits those with the most. It promotes maximizing profits at the cost of the average person.

Most of the U.S. budget goes to things like social security, Medicare and Medicaid so that doesn’t match at all.

Bc if the system was made to just provide for the 1% the top spending won’t be o welfare and social security.

There’s a 1% different in striking the right balance and favoring Israel too much is this rely what we’re hanging our hat on?

A lot of that funding from Medicaid and Medicare goes into reimbursing private health facilities. Same with funding for the military. Most of it goes towards private companies.

Yes bc private health facilities is what provides the service. We want companies to be providing essential services.

It’s not just the favoring Israel too much side. It’s both sides. You said that the average American agreed with Biden’s approach towards the conflict. I said the average American did not agree with Biden’s approach.

I didn’t say the average American supported Biden I said Biden reached a reasonable balance between what the average American wanted and what was needed in a humanitarian sense.

There’s a large diversity of opinion with I/P I think a 1% off the majority is pretty good.

Again these private companies focus on maximizing profits. They dictate prices. There’s a reason why many people die due to their insurance not covering their medications or medical procedures due to the absurd price of these needed treatments.

The chart quite literally disproves this. Most people believed he was favoring one side over what they actually wanted. Even if we ignored the charts, Israel was killing tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians yet they were given aid. That makes no sense with what you are saying.

Again you just don’t know anything about policy and your theory doesn’t match what’s actually going on. Why did the aca have the 80/20 rule if it’s just meant to maximize profits?

Idk why you brought this up as it has nothing to do with what we are talking about but in places like Germany these medical facilities have a limit on how much they can charge you. This isn’t the case for American facilities. They for the most part have no limit.

The problem is a lack of regulation of these companies. You brought up Germany as an example and I told you the difference between America and Germany.

I don’t understand how you can argue that these entities are not trying to maximize profits. This is quite literally true and has been true for many years. It’s why slavery was created, it’s why at one point you’d have wood shavings in your food and why products have decreased in size. It’s why there’s a huge push for AI and why there is so much push back against increasing minimum wage. It’s why mining towns didnt pay workers in actual money. It’s why companies hired private militaries to break

Up unions, why habitats are being destroyed, why climate change is such an issue, why family owned farms are closing and so much more. Why safety regulations were so laxed, why Native American water were polluted by radioactive waste, why many people prefer dying than taking an ambulance, why the NRA pushes false data on guns, why many companies prefer moving businesses overseas. It’s ridiculous to argue your point.

Anonymous replying to -> #3 9w

I’m not saying they don’t maximize profits that’s the point of a company I’m saying that there’s already some form of government regulation put in by democrats to address this. If a company increasing it rate they have to show they’re doing so based on some evidence.

1% of people in this specific poll felt that way. You’re having this 1% carry your entire argument. Again there’s gonna be a large diversity of opinion on a complex foreign policy issues your not gonna always have large majorities. Killing people doesn’t determine if you get aid or not.

As I said before, yes there are policies under liberal and conservative leadership that has been beneficial but ultimately the top 1% benefits. That’s why they are the top 1%. That’s why the gap between that minority and the majority continues to increase.

You said biden struck a balance between giving aid and doing what people wanted and I’m telling you that’s not the case. More people believed Biden was showing favor to a specific side than he was striking that balance. You say 1% because you are only taking into account the Israel side but based on my point you’d have to combine both those who thought he was favoring either Israel or Palestine.

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> blue__wave 9w

This is especially true when you realize many Americans were against Israel’s actions yet Biden still sent aid. There were many more Americans who either supported Palestinians or wished to stay out of the conflict in general than those who wanted to continue to support Israel yet he still sent supplies and resources to Israel. You saying he struck that balance makes no sense when he was quite literally went against the wishes of what the average person wanted

Bc your not making an actual argument. You’re saying Biden didn’t strike a balance bc he should have both appeased the people who wanted him to side with Israel more and the people who wanted to side with Gaza more. That doesn’t make any sense you can’t do that.
