 Fascism has very very few serious and literate thought leaders... there is Giovanni Gentile and maaaaaaybe Evola. The rest are just deeply unserious ramblings that don't even engage with philosophy or history. Smart people tend not to like fascism. 🧐

Evola wasn’t exactly novel, ig some okay stuff on symbology? But everything worth saying was just badly derivative of Guenon imo. Fascists are a counter hegemonic-liberalism strain sure, but they’re still yet another child of modernity like the liberalism they claim to be such an alternative to. That’s not even getting into the genuinely soul destroying nature of the ideology in praxis

I wouldn’t say it descends from liberalism so much as modernity itself in a Hegelian sense, it’s the younger sister of liberalism imo
