This is actually a great way to describe this. It wouldn’t be bad for there to be trillionaires as long as there weren’t people starving or dying just because they don’t have enough money

Government transfers aren’t counted in official poverty statistics. We could perfectly redistribute everyone’s income every year and according to the statistics poverty wouldn’t change.
