Latasha Harlins was 15 years old in 1991 when a store owner shot her due to assuming she was stealing. 35 Years later 14 year old Cyrus Belton was chased out of a convenience store and shot dead by the store owner over water he didn’t steal. Racism.

Small note is he did have a weapon However RUNNING AWAY and NOT POINTING THE WEAPON AT ANYONE ISNT a threat. Shooting a child in the back is not self defense. It’s cowardice. People willing to shoot a child as they run away from you is exactly why he felt the need to carry a weapon he never should’ve had access to in the first place. And that being ignored is why this will continue to be a problem facing so many communities
