Latasha Harlins was 15 years old in 1991 when a store owner shot her due to assuming she was stealing. 35 Years later 14 year old Cyrus Belton was chased out of a convenience store and shot dead by the store owner over water he didn’t steal. Racism.

A gun that fell out after he was chased out of the store. He never aimed at or threatened the store owner or his son.

If there’s a chance you’re gonna get chased around and shot at whenever you go to the store, then you’re gonna carry a gun.

Starts as soon as you’re able to assess risk

Wouldn't brandishing a weapon greatly increase said risk

He could have been 9, are ignoring that he was being chased out of a store by two men, with guns, for a crime he didn’t even commit?

The court/jury came to the conclusion that he didn't shoplift or pull a gun?

Regardless of the court’s decision, we also have a right to make our own judgments as to what happened based off the evidence we have available.

It doesn’t matter who points the gun, the expectation of having a gun pointed at you creates the necessity of having a gun. A violent environment makes people more inclined to violence.

They didn’t have to come to that conclusion because there was video evidence of him putting the water back.

But did he pull out the gun?

That's what would have made it a self defense case, yes

Do you know when he did this specifically?

According to the defense it seems that he pointed the gun outside of the store

I really dont know anything about casey Anthony tbh. But with oj there wasn't enough evidence to prove "beyond a reasonable doubt" he was guilty. But im pretty sure he lost a civil case

There ample proof showing he didn’t brandish a gun. The corner said that with the way the bullet entered his body he wasn’t turned around. There was no proof he stole water bottles. He’s on camera putting the all back. There’s more than enough evidence proving he didn’t shoot this kid out of defense and that deadly force wasn’t needed..

i don't understand why some of you choose to be obtuse. i can't tell if it's an ego thing or what. because there's no way you're as dense as you're acting

The fact that the gun wasn’t on his person when he was shot is corroborated by both witness and police statements

No, there’s video evidence he didn’t pull a gun. He did have one and it came out when he fell. The corner literally said with the way the bullet entered he couldn’t have been turned around facing them. He was shot in the back
