Radical-er take: Policy makers, as servants of the people, should only be granted the same wages and benefits that are required by the federal law. I.E.: federal minimum wage, PTO, sick/parental leave, insurance, benefits etc…

Radical take: the total cost of living for one person and a child should not exceed 90% of the income that a full-time worker makes on minimum wage.

Actually my friends and me have been saying this for years- they are public servants first and foremost so why are they paid so much more than the average constituent?

Facts if they give cops the lowest wage possible I don't see why they shouldn't do the same for politicians
