Basic tenets of state sovereignty buddy, this is “nothing to fear if you have nothing to hide” ass logic fr

We literally had a comprehensive deal with Iran in 2016. Hmmm why did we get rid of that?

Not a single US citizen gives af if Iran has nukes

Ehhhhh I’d kinda care because then Saudi Arabia’s going to want nukes. And idk if that escalates their conflict or tampers it. Some argue that Pakistan’s strike-first policy keeps India from escalating the situation

You don’t have to let other countries in to inspect/spy on your shit if you don’t wanna. That’s state sovereignty. The argument of “well they won’t let us in to prove themselves innocent” is like if you claimed pleading the 5th in a criminal trial is evidence of guilt.

Oh no I agree Iran should have state sovereignty, but our leaders are overreaching and they love control and power. Iran wasn’t complying with what we were asking. Not advocating for it, this is just how those negotiations went down guys

That’s correct, you don’t have to. But obviously there are consequences

I feel like Oman’s foreign minister said Iran was fine with inspections but maybe I’m misremembering

Yeah the Oman foreign minister said that there was progress but it just appears Iran did not meet the big demands. They agreed partially to some things, but obviously did not appease the real goals of our leaders.

Hmm. I think they should’ve given some more time. In fairness though, I see why Iran would be skeptical. They’re negotiating with the same government that tore up the last deal they agreed to

Yeah maybe, I don’t think they would’ve been able to find a real agreement. It is a complete blunder for Iran to agree to surrender their enrichment rights. In my opinion I think the only reason the talks even happened was so both sides could buy time. China was flying in tons of cargo planes, it’s not clear what they delivered but they were probably flying in defensive systems.

Russia apparently sent stuff too. I think the US just wanted to wait until the markets closed

Well the talks have been going on for quite some time now. But yeah the US has been strategically waiting for the markets to be closed on weekends to start making actions.
