I can guarantee you we would not be doing this shit if those “Iranian nuclear capability” fear mongering points were real. You know how I know? North Korea. “Get the nukes, keep the nukes, do not give up the nukes under any circumstances.” Needs to be the playbook when the Evil Empire’s is “Lie about them, go murder them, and then don’t even help re-stabilize the country.” And America is an Evil Empire, regardless of who we vote for.

that strategy only works if you intend on being reclusive, isolated hermit state with little involvement in global trade. i think you ought to read the hobbesian trap screenshot i sent too. they are a prime example of the negative consequences of the fear spiral / arms race
