Korea must be split between China and Japan. You can give as much or as little of the peninsula to either country as you see fit. Who should get what and why?

That’s fair, then what are your thoughts surrounding the role of Korea in Japanese/Chinese politics considering their shared occupational histories?

China has always seen Korea as a junior civilization, fair or not since I care for the Korean culture and people, so I think Korea should exercise independence in culture away from Beijing and continue to emphasize Hangul and Joseon history over hanzi and Han dynasty (I’m half Chinese 混血, as disclaimer so I’m quite culturally eastern).

As for Japan, Japan always needed resources due to their status as an island nation so it was never really about pride as far as I’m concerned. But both Korea’s also serves as a buffer state between China and Japan. This is what Japan has been doing more recently, especially with joint operations mediated by the US.
