Do you think the CDP is going to have a real chance at power anytime soon? The Japanese population is aging rapidly but young people are extremely dissatisfied with Takaichi, so I wonder if there are enough of them to carry a major election win

Maybe it did happen, maybe it didn’t, but what’s important is how much people actually believe it happened. But judging from what happened after it’s obvious what the truth is to everyone.

The CDP will win when the hell freezes over. Takaichi as far as I’m concerned is extremely popular, particularly among the youth (maybe I don’t have the latest data, but that was before the last election when they secured 67% of the House of Representatives in the Diet), especially for pioneering “idol” politics (pop star)z

From my experience, Japanese youth are a very socially conservative, even if they support universal healthcare, which Japan has.
