I understand that white men are the conservative base, but they are still free to vote for whoever they want and nobody turns a blind eye. Other demographics are much more policed by others in society to vote a certain way. That is literally a form of racism whether you like it or not. Even though the Democratic Party may be the better option, nobody should be forcing or stigmatizing people for using their democratic powers and free will for voting for the person they want to vote for.

I am just saying that you cannot just tell people what to do without any form of critical thinking involved because they need to make those decisions for themselves without all of the social baggage.

No one is “forcing” minorities to vote Democrat. We do make fun of them and call them out when they actively vote against themselves and other ppl within their demographic tho. They’re still privy to criticism

I don’t think you understand what I was saying- I said *it makes sense* that the demographic who is pandered to supports the platform that panders to them. This does not mean that they are unable to see through the pandering, nor does it mean they are forced to vote for the pandering in question. It does, however, make it a bit odd that demographics who are not being pandered to, and are actively denigrated by, the platform in question would support it. Hope this clears that up for you

That isn’t criticism though and doesn’t provide substance to debate over. Your post is an over generalization of a larger pattern. I know this is a surface level online platform, but we need more informed voters who think for themselves. Not voters who blindly vote for the same candidates their friends voted for. You are enforcing tribalism and the “vote blue no matter who” narrative.

What if the Republican is someone who wants homelessness people who possess drugs away from school zones and someone who cares about fire victims vs an establishment democrat who doesn’t care about any of those things.

And that’s what we call a strawman. I never said “vote blue no matter who.” If a minority votes for a democrat who wants to enact things that will harm their demographic it’ll be the same criticism. Republicans actively deny historical context and reject any means to fix those wrongs. If u are a minority who votes for that I’m making fun of u. End of story

It sounds like you are backtracking a little bit because the post is talking about women not voting for Republicans. The problem is that this quickly turns into keeping women and minorities getting trapped into voting for a single party because you still can’t just blindly trust the democrats. Parties change over time and candidates and policies are different every election. This mindset is very toxic because it doesn’t encourage accountability in the Democrat party.
