do you actually know how voting works or do you just ignore the existence of the electoral college because it won't allow a third party to stand a chance?
They have our country so propagandized that we refuse to even try to get a third party going. Stand up for something pussies

I know exactly how it works. The thing is is that we can abandon both of the two major parties. It would just take work. This whole “but but but the electoral college!!!!!!” point is so ridiculous. It’s proof no one wants to do anything about it

you are slow if you think they will actually vote third party. they don't HAVE to vote the way the people vote and you are delusional if you think they will vote third party. that doesn't benefit them, why would they do that?

Yeah and sailors from two damaged vessels could jump into the water hoping they find a submarine once they’re under but most would take their chances with one of the damaged vessels. It is the system that is at fault, not the courage of individual Americans

exactly. the electoral college needs to either be reworked or done away with for a third party to have a chance.

It’s both imo. I know third parties stand no chance but who am I if I am not to dream? But I agree guys, let’s just keep voting democrats even though they’re apart of the problem too.

Do you think that the republicans aren’t possible to sway?

I mean dream all you want, I can go to the casino every day with dreams of earning enough money for college but that doesn’t mean it’s a good strategy or one we can reasonably expect to succeed. It just comes down to statistics at some point and the system is designed in such a way that people who understand probability understand that a third party vote will essentially always be a throw away vote

the republicans in office are modern day nazis. they are brutalizing minorities. at least the democrats have no backbone and can be threatened into doing what we want, the republicans just shoot us!

I know. I just wish we could all find a way to collude to make a third party possible. That’s quite literally the only point of my post. I understand it’s unrealistic

And I mean look at the all the good that third party leftists did this last election, they got us trump instead of Kamala. Are we better off now? Did we teach those democrats a lesson?

And in that way yes I agree, I wish we could put everyone in a big gc so we could all get on the same page and dump the two party system. That’d be amazing if there were any way it were possible

stop riding for something that is not realistic. we need realistic solutions and being a dick to people thinking of them just causes further rifts. start thinking about solutions that will ACTUALLY work.

I agree with you. But the republicans in power right now are MAGA. There’s a lot of republicans that I think voted because they trusted the Republican Party and liked trumps policies but now that MAGA’s true colors are shown there’s a window to sway them. There’s a lot of republican voters that have abandoned the party recently and they do not know where to go

send them to candidates that have realistic chances of winning instead of asking them to throw their vote away and getting maga elected again. we already know the dems don't actually stand on anything, but the other option is a party standing on fascism and actively enacting it.

To be honest that’s just supporting the status quo. I don’t want to vote for democrats either.

then either start putting heads in baskets or make your peace with voting for maga.
