The scale and at the frequency with which it happens here is unique to the U.S. Pretending that isolated incidents invalidate that rule is dishonest. This is not rocket science.

But it still happens. If giving up the right to bear arms meant it would eradicate the problem, most people would accept that. But it doesn’t and won’t. So our unique right to own firearms will continue and we will work towards other solutions
