Holy high horse. My fam along with their friends and neighbors in Venezuela CANT EAT. The country has been hell for years, last night was nothing but a good thing
“Venezuelans are happy, why aren’t liberals?”
because “liberals” are worried about the potential consequences, whereas venezuelans are prob just too happy about Maduro being gone to care. Both are valid priorities
Still doesn’t change the fact he broke the law, nuance exists

The US is incredibly likely to install yet another dictator who's only loyalty is to the US, not the people of Venezuela. Things are incredibly unlikely to improve in any major capacity

There's a good chance the current regime stays in power while Trump loots Venezuela's oil

Exactly you’re happy about Maduro being gone and that’s the top priority for you. It’s understandable! - OP

I would feel the same if I was in your position. It’s a valid priority to have

It’s reasonable for OP and others to be happy about this regardless, Maduro’s done a lot of harm

For sure! I’m just getting real tired of people flipping out at me for being less excited an a lil more concerned
