“Venezuelans are happy, why aren’t liberals?” because “liberals” are worried about the potential consequences, whereas venezuelans are prob just too happy about Maduro being gone to care. Both are valid priorities

Also as a Venezuelan we aren’t happy it’s just the media trying to manufacture consent for this, Maria and her opposition party are extremely unpopular in Venezuela because we know she just wants to hand over our resources for pennies while the rest of us are left with nothing

even then, the overall support for maduro in venezuela hasn't wavered significantly meaning that most venezuelans are in fact not happy abt this

Like yes Maduro sucks but if we take history into account, U.S. backed politicians are never any better. If there’s a Che Guevara 2.0 in 10-20 years I can’t say I won’t be surprised.

“Citizens of the country are too stupid unlike ME to be concerned about the consequences” Brother, you ever stop to think that maybe it was just THAT bad that any alternative is better than Maduro?

How could you know that, there’s no way polling has been done in the few hours he’s been gone? Also his regime is still in power he’s just gone.

Lol no one is stupid, they’re just too happy about Maduro being gone to worry about the consequences. It’s understandable!

If my country had a dictator and someone snatched him away, I wouldn’t be all that worried about the consequences neither

it's not polling but rather just verbal support and online support, especially since his opposition isn't popular in the country

I feel that’s not the best indicator especially considering algorithms and boting.

Venezuelans in America do not represent the average Venezuelan on the sheer basis that they literally don’t live there anymore, and they were either in the most vulnerable position that they had to leave or they had enough privileges that they could leave. You might be very surprised about how the people there will stick up for the sovereignty of the country
