OOP is also severely underestimating the amount involved, as the group in question is only one of many. This topic broke ground a year/year and a half ago by German journalists, reporting around 70k participants though across multiple groups.

Not to mention how there are indeed people on here, as much as I despise it, that do likely have a personal stake in those chats. the reveal of these groups are indicative of a larger societal issue, as well as how expansive it is. we do not know exactly who is involved, and it could really be anyone, even people in our own lives as terrifying as that is.

the 1k figure is only one single telegram group, the 70k is from an investigation last year in Germany that discovered a network of these telegram groups (more than one group) that worked together.
