You can agree with the left on 95 percent of things and they’ll still make you out to be a villain. For example I think the progressive faction of the wing aren’t patriotic enough and lowkey aren’t proud to be Americans. And Covid lockdowns were a scam

Whether or not an opinion is dangerous will change between factions. Being ostracized can be messed up too if the people responsible are not interested in honesty or have ulterior motives, which is a common case in unorganized groups of people dominated by fierce social stigmas and triggers. It’s like McCarthyism.

The kind of society that has a battalion of associations and isms to slap on you, which regardless of your opinion on that very truly is social control. Thinking in that mindset of avoidance and labeling is an option, but it’s become so mainstream and essential to discourse that people don’t seem to recognize its absurdity. Personally, I am on a journey to completely rejecting that mindset and use one that does not view ideas as symptoms but as potential parts that can be altered to my fitting.

Some ideas are straight up wrong and carry negative social effects when they are implemented in public policy, and those ideas and groups of ideas do need names

People should know why they are wrong, and what that looks like in what’s being examined, not just that it is.
