My point is that Democrats are in charge of DC and maybe the guard would be more effective and helpful if local leaders weren’t fighting them every step of the way. Even Bowser herself has said that the city has seen some positive trends since the troops showed up

is sending in the national guard to a city despite the will of that city's leader not a gross violation of a president's limitations? and besides, if his real motivation is stopping crime, why not send the guard to cities in red states with significantly worse crime such as memphis, TN; jacksonville, FL; or st louis, MO?
