I was in London in May and it blew my mind that you could actually get to a place you want to go on a train that came more than once every 30 minutes. Why would you not want that. Parking sucks dick in every major city, I’d much rather take a train
Congestion pricing proves that car-brains will have to be dragged kicking and screaming into urbanization strategies BEFORE they realize the benefits of people-focused infrastructure

For me, it was the opposite. Having lived in the DC metro area. I was genuinely gob smacked when I saw that they were cities with absolutely no public transportation.

Dude I remember speaking to a British lady who left her Amtrak in Granby Colorado bc it had a delay and was asking us for a faster way to take public transit to Chicago. Had to tell the poor lady that she just left the only train in America that does that 💀

I actually live in denver, Colorado is particularly shit when it comes to public transport. I-70 between denver and vail is one of the worst roads I’ve driven, because there’s no alternative and nobody knows what they’re doing. Downtown denver is dying because there’s no parking anymore, but light rail also sucks

Cleveland’s got a light rail that basically just takes u from the airport to the lake. Would be useful if people actually were flying to Cleveland to see Cleveland, but useless otherwise. I YEARNN for an actual subway 💔💔 city full of parking garages
