A massacre that famously did not happen. No one was killed in the square. Fighting with police did break out blocks away, though, and the only people who clashed with the police were part of a failed US color revolution. (Cont. in comments)

The protesters at the square were peaceful, anti-capitalist student protestors and they got along well with the police. The only ones who got hurt were the US-backed protestors who were trying to incite violence from the start. I have researched this topic at length, ask me anything

I always found it funny people just accept the narrative around this at face value as if the U.S. doesn’t have vested interest vis a vis propaganda

So it was only the American backed protesters that got ran over by a tank

Doesn’t China also have a vested interest in saying this was a color revolution caused by foreign influence than a grass root call for change within a nation. Surely that has no precedent in media right?

All I’m doing is questioning the western narrative. Assuming I must therefore love China because I I’m skeptical of western narratives is a leap and a reach.

I do align more with China though than the west ofc. The actions of these countries are often very understandable given the context even if they are uncomfortable. When capitalism is dead we can squabble over the reach of the state

By this logic you can't believe anything anyone says. They're not both lying. Why do you believe the US over China? We are WAY more evil

I’m more likely to trust the US for this because China has blocked information. Who do I trust the one with an agenda or the one who blocks information. If China released the information of the event then I would believe it

Isn’t China a capitalist just a social authoritarian one? It’s not as much as the rest of the world but it’s still capitalist. So shouldn’t we question it now? What context does a government need to send in the military to crush a protest
