The first amendment (and the whole constitution) was written by christians, and were likely referring to the different denominations of Christianity.

They were smart enough to know other religions exist, if they had meant Christianity they’d have said Christianity. You can’t seriously be sitting here with a half baked education thinking you know more about what the founding fathers intended than the actual founding fathers right?
