OP here. Im a man. Men created and perpetuated these norms in order to maintain the patriarchy. Not because they were/are evil. Not because they did it intentionally. Because it was comfortable. It was just normal. Black and white gender norms allow people to not have to deal with difficult thoughts like “why am I attracted to a man” “why am I scared of a woman having power over me”
