im 28 (grad student) and i only ever said the f slur because i was rapping along to Eminem as a kid… i’m not straight but that doesn’t make it any better. people are brought back the fucking r slur and now we’re backsliding into more slurs being revived and used again.

Also I don’t remember anybody TELLING me not to say slurs. I just kind of… knew? I guess? My parents never sat me down and told me what the n-word was or anything. I knew they were harmful and not to come out of my mouth because I just did. Also like #1 said the r slur coming back is fucking crazy and there’s really no argument that makes any slur “normal” to me. Saying it because it’s “normal” is just making it normal?? Doesn’t make it okay
