Fr I had a high school teacher who would say very weird stuff about “cute and flexible” students and I didn’t have that in writing or on tape so I couldn’t do anything. Almost everyone else in the class loved her despite that. And I’ve met quite a few survivors who have been assaulted by women. While it’s mostly men, I think a lot of people like to ignore or diminish the fact that women do it because men do it more. If the men shall be called out so shall the women

Fr they’re acting like misogynistic to call out women’s behavior. It’s only misogynistic if you only call out women’s behavior which I don’t think we’re doing that here. Yes men do it more and in turn get away with it more but statistics show that victims of woman rapists are less likely to report because they’re a woman. And society has taught men that they should want that to happen to them. It’s not misogynistic to call women out

I genuinely think we’ve lost the plot here. We’ve started off with “both genders do this,” but you continue with “but one does it more”. This makes it seem like one is more excusable than the other because of statistics. I haven’t denied men do it more, Im simply shedding equal lighting on both sides. Social constructs that affect how we value others are immensely powerful. In a society that, for example, steeps in the idea that one race is divinely-cursed, small-brained, and genetically- and culturally-poor, it would be idiotic to think one human may not behave worse towards another who, in their mind, *is* lesser.
