Yes. When Trump is dumped, the Republicans will probably never win another election for a hundred years. They won’t be able to get over the shame of having set a p***phile to protect their children. I suspect there will be a new opposition party.

I wouldn’t be so sure. We can’t afford to get complacent. GOP corruption won’t go anywhere unless corruption is prosecuted. Underestimating the power of the conservative media machine to launder the shitty politics of the GOP is unwise. Things aren’t business as usual. I also don’t think a third party can be successful until we actually reform our campaign finance laws. The last viable third party was a century ago, and campaign finance laws were MUCH stricter then than they are now

They’re living in a delusion - one of their own making. I suspect this is because they consider themselves MAGA as part of their identity rather than because they have thought out the policies it puts forward. The Iran war has made it harder for those MAGA people to support the government, and so has the Epstein stuff. When Trump dies and the principle of consistency no longer applies, I think they’ll fold. They probably won’t switch parties right away - just stay home on election day.

Yes. There is work to do to be sure. We have the power to fix this, though, and we will. We did in the 1930s, after the Great Depression, when things were even worse than they are now - at least there are no bread lines, and at least people are more educated than they were then.
