Honestly I think the sequel trilogy is a lot better than most people think. It’s not perfect, but it’s not garbage like others make it seem. It’ll probably get the prequel treatment in 10-15 years and then people won’t hate on them anymore
Hot take: the sequels weren’t that bad until the third movie and “somehow Palpatine returned”

They have some major directional issues and really dropped the ball on so many interesting plot lines but they’re not absolutely awful. I’d say that the lowest rating is give any of them is 6/10 which I consider to be an alright movie.

I feel if Disney didn’t give up on the sequels, they would be received better today. Like the prequels weren’t received well when they came out by older fans, but LucasFilm kept pushing them with toys, commercials, cartoons, books, etc. (Prequels content is still pushed to this day!) and thus new Star Wars fans ended up growing up with the prequels and loving them. The Sequels on the other hand, Disney refuses to promote them.

Like right now you can go to any big grocery store’s toy section and find Star Wars toys relating to the prequels, original trilogy, or Mandalorian, but nothing sequels based. The TV Shows on Disney + are either prequels or original trilogy inspired/based, but none are sequels based. (There was the Resistance cartoon which was sequels based back in like 2018, but that didn’t really go anywhere unfortunately.)

True. Disney at least promotes the sequels quite a bit with Galaxy’s Edge tho
