honestly just look up how animals get killed in slaughterhouses... also it's not about living "perfectly ethical" it's about not torturing so many animals anymore...

Deadass this is such a nonsense issue, you can’t get upset for people eating meat. Yeah slaughterhouses suck and what not but what would she like people to do, would she rather the every day person hunt pigs, cows and chickens because I don’t want to imagine a regular person trying to kill a cow it’d be less humane.

i know about slaughterhouses i don’t agree with them. i feel like we can all advocate for animals to have a painless death. some countries already do that

How would you feel if the world treated dogs and cats the same way they treat cows, pigs, chickens, etc.

yeah it's very less common like please name one country where pigs, cows or chickens are treated exactly the same like cats and dogs

yeah that is true. dogs and cats arent farmed at the same scale as cows or chickens. but humans culturally decide which animals are considered food and which are considered companions, and those standards vary around the world. my point is that people draw different ethical lines, so im not interested in morally condemning people over what animals they eat

how do we know that we’re not supposed to eat animals?

we are definitely "supposed" to eat animals. consuming meat is a biologically encouraged process. What was not biologically encouraged was industrialized and profit driven agriculture. There are ethical processes to paying attention to what you eat. But also for many it is not economically viable

Ideally the average person would be skilled enough and dedicated enough to hunt and acquire their own food. But industrialization allowed a lot of genuine fucking morons to start existing

The average person doesn’t even possess basic common sense, I don’t want to them try to hunt and acquire their own food.
