i think this is a bit tasteless when it’s very apparent that ableism is becoming more common again… i mean, the R-slur is back in the zeitgeist (or some sanitized version of it). As a nearly 30yr old, it’s been concerning to watch society go back to being intolerant just for shits & giggles. I still barely get accommodated at home, and my extended family still does the chest thumping shit for laughs even when we have a MSN autistic adult in the family! I love a good joke but not a trend.

I think you’re right to an extent, we can’t take everything online personally, but I don’t think its unreasonable to be frustrated at a meme that has been used against adhd struggles since its popularity. pretty much any big post about adhd has this meme in the replies, i think it’s fair to be annoyed at something that repeatedly trivializes our struggles
