I mean it depends on the person, usually they just want comfort, validation sometime even just advice not just an empathetic lens but as a neurodivergent person I enjoy hearing it

I had a surprise sit-down conversation at a Chick-fil-a once by some adults in my life that it takes away from other people's stories when you do that

Like difference between when a “normie” is making the convo about themselves and a neurodivergent person being genuine and chiming in, usually u can tell!

I have met some nd people who genuinely make it about themselves though and I can never figure out why. It doesn’t seem like it is for relating anymore- it seems like they get bored when someone else talks 😭
