Yall in the comments need to learn that ACAB is about the job of police and the place they have in our society. It’s not about individual cops, but if it was, just look up domestic abuse rates in police families. Yall should know about Stonewall 🙄🙄

i completely agree with u, but i’m incredibly interested in how people switch up when it comes to true crime. i know so many people obsessed with it while also hating the police. i just want to know the psychology of it

As someone who watches true crime I would say (from my perspective) it’s less about the institution and more about the forensics process. ACAB is about the system, but true crime is generally about victims and/or perpetrators. True crime docs can also give insight into how corruption in the force can occur. It’s fear in a controlled environment (the screen) so naturally we are drawned to it. Does that make sense?

no, i totally understand that. i’m a crim major psych minor, so i find this thought process interesting. the system is corrupt asf, i know first-hand how flexible the rules are when it comes to people who work in the field. just wanted to know what people’s takes were for this ^^
