hot take: people are too comfortable criticizing “bad feminists” and people who don’t trust men, instead of the misogyny and patriarchal violence that they’re reacting too
Hot take: People are too comfortable taking out their justifiable frustrations with the patriarchy out on *individuals* who didn’t put that system in place and who also suffer from it

I think both should be criticized, as the faux feminists are actively contributing to the patriarchy and things like bioessentialism

The reaction to misogyny in question being treating every man like satan regardless of whether he’s actually misogynistic or not

And adding on regardless of if he’s also a feminist or not, he can be outspoken, he can vote, he can defend women tooth and nail and then told he has something evil in him that all men do by bioessentialists who refuses to see people as people

faux feminist and bad feminist don’t mean the same thing! people get called bad feminists when they’re “too hard on men”, that’s what i’m talking about

i feel like you’re either wildly exaggerating or making up a kinda person… people don’t trust men because they’re protecting themselves, whether someone says they’re a feminist or not, isn’t the thing that decides if they’re safe

The entire point of my post was that people who were my friends treated me differently for being a man after transitioning despite me being the same person with the same beliefs, and treating someone in a lesser way for being a man despite KNOWING they’re a feminist, and others extrapolating from what I said to mean women shouldn’t be distrusting of men

By faux feminist I mean the people who believe in bioessentialism and mistreat people simply because they were born male or identify as a man

Not referring to women who are generally just wary or avoidant of men, there is a difference
