I think the nuance you’re missing is that trans people and women are both marginalized gender groups under the patriarchy. It’s not that you’re “only male-adjacent” (anyone who’d say that is a transphobe, and also wrong) it’s that it’s obviously unreasonable to treat you as oppressor. Cis men, too, suffer from the patriarchy in some ways, but they benefit from it in so many, and they need to actually make an effort to resist it. Men socialized in misogyny who don’t care to change it, uphold it.

It really does seem like transphobia at a certain point; even the og comment cause why would we separate trans men from cis men? Like yes most trans men dont have the same experience as most cis men but socially we should treat them the same way and not just either “man light” or “part of the problem/nonexistant” since for the latter a lot of people in the community treat transness as a thing only trans fems and NBs can be
