This: I’ve been called so many slurs by straight people and yet some fellow queers don’t accept me cuz I’m “not gay enough” or I still date women. Motherfucker do you know what BISEXUAL MEANS. I still dress against gender norms ur just mad I’m not gay
Every time someone makes a sweeping statement about bisexuals my gut instinct is to question them bc of how much biphobia exists in this community. Too many people view them as “straight enough” to make fun of, when they’re also queer. (Signed, a gay man)

Yeah that shit also makes me nervous when my identity grows into something new because mfs act as if queer imagination isn't the quantum fabric of reality. Like they are lowkey being used by demons.

I’ve been told I’m doing it for attention or can’t call myself queer (mind you, I am also genderqueer but in my experience, biphobic people are also transphobic), and I’ll leave my gf at the first chance (we’ve been together for 5 years).

Since the dawn of time. If you’re bi and dating someone of the opposite sex, people will say you’re actually just straight. That’s from inside the community as well as outside. Every time pride rolls around, people start debating about whether bisexuals should be allowed to bring their heterosexual partners

Yeah it’s like I’m more respected as a queer when i don’t get game and am a loser than when people like me for my fruity style

100% I don’t care getting called it, I mean as like people can obviously tell I’m queer whether I want em to or not, ur just gatekeeping being queer

That’s fucking wild, I get it tho, I’m queer in both gender and sexuality but I feel like some also won’t accept nonbinary like they keep trying to convince me I’m trans brother I don’t believe in EITHER gender that’s my whole thing??? What do you mean I’m preformatively dressing queer I’ve been like this since before I was even out lol. I feel ur pain of getting called performative despite just existing

Nonbinary is under the trans umbrella jsyk. Trans just means “does not identify with assigned gender at birth”. If you don’t want to use the trans umbrella term, you definitely aren’t obligated to, but I think that may have been what people were trying to tell you. Sincerely, another enby

Fair enough, I don’t consider myself trans and I never super used the “nonbinary label” like I said I just say queer cuz it’s more fun and like some people say I’m “agender” or whatever the other stuff is idk but it’s all also technically NB so I just say queer cuz it’s simple and I ain’t tryna do rocket science I’m just tryna dress hot
