The general idea of Marxist communism is accurate, but we shouldn’t glorify the Soviet Union just because of that, even ironically. Millions of people are dead due to a tyrant. It’s no different from any other dictatorship, including the US

China, Cuba, Vietnam, Laos. China and Vietnam are huge success stories, China literally had the greatest leap in living standards in observed human history. Laos is slowly getting better. Cuba is the exception but that is due to US strangulation.

… are you saying that any of these “pose a threat to first world privilege” or are threats to imperialism??? We engage in so much trade with china specifically, hugely furthering our mercantilist culture, and they actively engage in imperialism themselves as well.
