Not to harp on the chronically online thing but going to queer spaces in my city helped me create a chosen family after having to move across the planet for college of you go to them you’ll see that many people are genuinely kind and welcoming as long as you keep your heart and mind open to them

Idk where u are but the queer culture in my city is really hostile in my opinion, and oop is right… unfortunately a skinny white gay guy is what everyone prefers

I’m black and I’ve never been called the n word on Grindr not saying that it doesn’t happen but it’s definitely isn’t representative of everyone’s experience
