As a trans guy I agree with them. I just want to stop seeing my identity get debated every single day, even in my own communities which are supposed to be an escape from that.

That’s not what they meant… you’re cutting out the context. They were trying to explain how trans men are often ignored/not visible in pop culture to the extent that trans women are (for better and for worse). How do you know they’re cis?

what part of “trans men ain’t doing shit” sounds to you like a thoughtful explanation of issues with mainstream visibility rather than simply putting the blame on trans men for not taking up enough space in the public eye? “i know trans people must feel this way” pretty clearly positions OP as existing outside the category of trans people. he didn’t say “other trans people”, “*i’m* tired of being the topic of discussion”, or anything like that

the original post was not in any sense “debating our identities”. our community is not a place where you can escape from other trans men voicing frustrations at our own experiences As trans men, not sure what other spaces we even have where venting about these things would be welcome
