sadie initially got attention for generalizing trans men as abusers after a bad relationship and when called out on the generalization she instead doubled down and said that trans men were all bad because they’re men and therefore are inherently oppressive against women. and instead of taking the criticism that trans men don’t really hold any systematic power since they aren’t even seen as men by the system, she says that trans men are either weaponizing their agab as a violent oppressor or—

—a “theyfab” poser. meanwhile there were ALSO people who took it way too far and started calling her male conditioned for being transphobic and racist. saying that she’s not really a trans woman because she’s acting too problematic or that she deserved her abuse because of the way she’s acting. it’s ridiculous that things are this way, but op got it right on the nose.

i guess some people are too caught up in the basics of progressiveness that they never move past the “women are good and men are bad” mindset but i think there’s also an aspect of pick-me-ism when it comes to any level of internal conflict within the queer community
