WRONG!!! LOUDLY N PROUDLY WRONG!!! If your maintenance is 2200, and you cut with 1700 for example, at your goal weight your maintenance may be 2100 or even 2000 BUT it’ll still be MORE than the calories you get while cutting! Don’t be discouraged!
If you couldn’t live eating your current diet every day for the rest of your life the body change you’re after is going to be temporary

I mean you are agreeing with me, you can’t live on 1700 forever. I never said sustainable weight loss was impossible, just that crash diets and eating in a way you couldn’t sustain long term is an inefficient way to do it.

yep exactly, because you wouldn’t still be losing weight if the deficit had become your maintenance. If your deficit had become your maintenance after a long cut, then you would plateau and double down on the deficit.

Yeah, and maybe you can’t sustain 1700 long term but you can sustain maitenence at your goal weight forever
