I don’t think her response is lazy, or the fact she doesn’t wanna drive at night on the highway. I understand your frustration but her response just suggests she thinks 8 is too late, but doesn’t want that to ruin everyone’s plan if it’s just her who thinks so

“I understand your frustration” so you actually don’t. She chronically does not contribute to planning. She just says when she’s free, and if that time doesn’t work for her, she tries to convince everyone to not go by saying things like “isn’t that too late” so she can come, changing the original plans, even though she’s the only one not available.

Before this she said she would prefer to do after dinner and the only showing after dinner was 8, which I communicated, but here she goes again trying to change the plans so it benefits her.
