Everyone please remember Plan B has a weight limit of 165! If you weigh more than that you will need more than one! Learned this when I became a pharmacy tech and I’m hoping I can save you guys a 9 month experience
Ladies pls I need ur help and no judgement, me and my bf were drunk and had sexy time. He finished in me and I was ovulating. I took a plan b the next day but I’m so scared I’m pregnant and my period isn’t coming for like a week. What should I do for now

Note that there IS an emergency contraceptive pill with a higher weight limit: EllaOne goes up to about 195lbs. It’s by prescription, which means it may be covered by insurance, but it CANNOT be taken if you’re on hormonal birth control, as they cancel each other out. Unless there was a mistake with your birth control, you don’t need ECPs anyway tho. The best plan is always to have a plan A!

wait does it still work if you’re over that weight? you just have to take more than one? i thought it didn’t work at all (i could be wrong tho that’s just what people have said!)

No it can work you would just have to take multiple. So say you’re 190 you’d take 2 but if you’re 340 you’d need 3

While this is often shared advice, it’s not clinically tested (unless it was a very recent development in which case pls educate me)

This is just what was most recently shared with me by my pharmacist and the Ohio Board of Pharmacy. So I guess in this case take it with a grain of salt but that’s just the advice I’ve been given
