
1) Unless you meticulously track ovulation every single day, you have no idea when you actually ovulate. 2) the egg is only viable for about a day after ovulation. Your hope is that either the encounter was far enough before ovulation that Plan B could delay it or far enough after that the egg was dead. All you can do now is test 21 days after sex for a definitive result and work towards a stronger plan A for next time. Do you have access to a routine birth control?
Sometimes plan B messes up my period so it ends up being like 1-3 weeks later than it’s supposed to. Take a pregnancy test a couple days after your period was supposed to start, and again in about 2 and 3 and 4 weeks from now. You can still get your period when you’re pregnant, so I’d rely more on the tests than the period.
I have an Ultrahuman ring that somewhat tracks my cycles so I have a rough estimate of everything. I’ve been off birth control for almost a year now and have been doing research on IUDs so I’m planning on visiting the gyno to talk about it soon and especially after this scenario I’m terrified and need to get some form of birth control
