LMAO no they’re not??? they specifically mentioned dad bods and how that term doesn’t necessarily make sense bc becoming a dad doesn’t inherently change their body like being a mom does for a woman. it’s not making fun of fat people in the slightest

No I get the point that the term “dad bod” is dumb because men don’t get pregnant and gain weight like women do… but like it has this super strange and fatphobic undertone that posits that since women aren’t allowed to be fat men shouldn’t either. Like I don’t think that it’s a super helpful point to make at all

Direct quotes from the comments: “It’s a trend to trick women into unfit men” “You’re just walking around with a fat beer belly” I recognize these comments are not the posters fault but they did not make a helpful point and the post still led to a lot of frankly disgusting discussion about people’s bodies. Just because you don’t realize that people are being fatphobic doesn’t mean they aren’t. Minimizing discussions like these is exactly the thought process that leads to casual misogyny.
