No no I’m on big island. Maui definitely got hit worse, Kona side is having a pretty hard time but I’m up in the mountains/at uh hilo so both are pretty built for the rain but there is still a lot of flooding.

Serious question, I’m from Chicago area, so we get tornadoes, heavy winds and rains, even outages from heat with all the corn humidity. A lot of places are just built and installed with back up generators. Does the state not usually do that? A local said it rarely reaches that point even w hurricanes. I am used to power back in within a short short time frame. And we RARELY get hit with a real tornado, last year this tome was the closest I’ve ever had since 2017. Even then no touch down,

Yeah not really. Where all the richy rich people and celebrities get access quicker. But for the majority of the island that’s not the case. Even when I’m at school we lose power all the time. Sometimes it comes back quick though
