Like we as a society have been able to survive and thrive without ai for many years and now all of a sudden people can’t function without it. Deadass I said my goal for this semester was to not use ai and one of my peers said why that’s stupid

I can think of some situations in which it’s helpful but none of them are what people bring up to argue in its favour. like I remember using an ai assisted transcription app a few years ago. I believe there are a number of reasonable business applications. but everybody wants to generate pictures and pretend theyre artists and have it write their essays and pretend they’re literate

It frustrates me that people rely on it so much because it’s like graphing calculators x1000

Literally that’s the frustrating part!! Tell me why I was in a group assignment where we had to give our group a fun name and they used ai to come up with ideas, we couldn’t do that ourselves?
