People arguing with this have never grown up poor. Thanks mom for birthing me into poverty and forcing me to grow up without consistent food, water, and electricity because “kids are cute” 🙄 no birthday parties, no Christmas gifts, no family vacations. Some childhood to have.

there’s a difference between having 1 or 2 kids and having 10. these issues are also deeply intertwined with reproductive freedom, which historically has been restricted for poor women. it’s not individual poor people you’re mad at

i personally choose to spend my energy judging the system that makes it so people are unable to have the number of kids they want or exercise their reproductive autonomy instead of directing it at individual poor people. whatever works for you, i guess
