the wait times, dude. you can actually do things. do you ever realize how few things you can do in one day at wdw because of the ridiculous wait times? and those CROWDS!!! at disneyland, a 45 minute long line is long
I do not get the appeal of Disneyland over Walt Disney World. I feel like my vacation would feel so incomplete without Animal Kingdom and Epcot, and Hollywood Studios

Plus Disneyland has way more rides with a single rider line!

OH AND they get all the good events!!! mickeys not so scary is a JOKE next to the oogie boogie bash. like, its embarrassing. when wdw advertises rare characters it brings out characters like genie, but when dl does, its characters like hercules or kim possible. and dont forget the mandalorian stuff that happened here.

i think disneyland is more of a day trip whereas wdw is a week long vacation, and the way the company treats them i think that’s the goal. people save up for life to go to wdw to be able to stay and do everything, but dl has a completely different crowd to cater to. personally, dl is better because i only like to spend a day at a theme park, but for people who like to do every single attraction, wdw is going to be better

also, it has close to the same number of attractions across only two lands but doesn't feel crowded with them

Hi i'm OP of the original post. I said this in the comments bit can definitely see the benefits of DL. I'd still want to go an experience it for myself of course. However, i also recognize that i'm going to forever be internally biased and choose WDW over it anytime. I have way more of an emotional connection to WDW, than I ever will for DL. Some may say that's a unfair way of looking at things and to that I say idc lol.

imo wdw has bad crowd control and ride density. mk is fine but all the other parks are severely lacking in rides. if they had more to disperse the crowds the lines wouldnt be nearly as bad, but its just not feasible with what theyre going for

i don't think it matters if i prefer one park over another, and I don't have to give DL a chance if I don't want too. I'm content with WDW being the only Disney resort i visit in my lifetime. I'm not really in a rush to see the others bc i feel as if i'll always be happiest here.
